Agra tour overview

Agra is home to the Taj Mahal, one of the most recognised monuments in the world. Alongside it, the red sandstone Agra Fort and the nearby city of Fatehpur Sikri tell the story of the Mughal empire. Agra fits easily into a Delhi or Golden Triangle itinerary, and can be extended to Mathura and Vrindavan.

Why visit Agra

  • 01See the Taj Mahal in person.
  • 02Three UNESCO World Heritage Sites nearby.
  • 03Easy add-on to Delhi or Jaipur.

How to reach Agra from Rourkela

Agra is usually combined with Delhi: the Yamuna Expressway makes it about a three-to-four-hour drive, and fast trains also connect the two cities. We plan the Taj Mahal visit for early morning, when it is quieter.
